Activepieces is an open-source workflow automation platform (an "open replacement for Zapier") with a visual builder, 280+ integrations, native AI steps, and one of the largest open-source MCP toolkits for AI agents. It is BYOK: in the Admin Console AI settings (and per-connection for AI pieces), users add their own provider base URL and API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini, and pay only for the tokens they consume. Base-URL configuration also supports AI gateways (Vercel, Cloudflare) and OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Fully self-hostable via Docker Compose under an MIT license, with a hosted cloud option also available.

How your API key is handled

You self-host the app, so your API key lives in your own deployment. Requests are sent directly to the AI provider. Because it can be self-hosted, your key never has to touch a third-party backend.
