Screenpipe captures screen and audio continuously and turns it into a searchable memory your agents can query, positioned against Rewind, Microsoft Recall and Otter. It is the largest data surface in this directory by a distance, so the key-handling question is unusually consequential: the README states data lives on your machine only, transcription runs on local Whisper by default with Deepgram available as a cloud option, and the AI can be Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible server, in which case no cloud key is involved at all.
