Where your key goes

Training on your input: No, not by default Anthropic's commercial terms forbid training on customer content from the API.
Who operates the API: Anthropic, PBC, US
US compelled disclosure: US operator The API is operated by a US entity, which is directly subject to US compelled-disclosure law.
Who else is in the request path: Cloudflare, Inc. Requests to this endpoint pass through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., US), which terminates TLS in front of the API. That means Cloudflare, Inc. decrypts the request and can see the Authorization header carrying your key. This is normal infrastructure practice, not a defect, but it is a party in the path that the provider's own documentation does not mention.
Browser apps: Only with an opt-in header A browser-based app can call this endpoint directly, but only when it sends the anthropic-dangerous-direct-browser-access header. Without that header the preflight returns no access-control-allow-origin and the browser discards the response; with it, the endpoint answered access-control-allow-origin: *. The header name is the provider's own wording.
